The DRCM Process
The DRCM process includes an intensive pre-construction phase that defines the scope of work, budget, schedule, and identifies potential challenges. Inspired by major commercial construction, the five steps facilitate successful, maintenance-free home renovations and a higher level of transparency and communication throughout the renovation project.
Step 1: Define
We take a well-conceived idea then turn it into a definitive design and comprehensive project plan. The plan includes a line item scope of work, realistic budget, detailed schedule, and the assembly of a prospective team.
Step 2: Sequence
We consider how our project will impact the physical building and surrounding area. We plan the work in detail in terms of timing, co-ordination, and team availability. In doing this, we are able to set expectations and achievable milestones prior to the commencement of any work.
Step 3: People
In order to complete the project safely and efficiently from start to finish, we consider all of the people involved. Pertinent information is collected from the homeowner, trades, designers, suppliers, vendors, and local officials. The DRCM team works collaboratively to ensure milestones are consistently achieved.
Step 4: Purchase
We provide guidance and leadership – not mark up. DRCM is a construction management company; our role is to ensure the project runs smoothly. We clarify the cost of the project and hold everyone involved accountable for the service they provide, taking the burden off you. As a way to help save on cost, we give homeowners the opportunity to pay vendors, licensed trades, and for necessary products and services directly.
Step 5: Build
This is the action step. We implement our project plan, schedule work and instruct our team in line with the other four steps. The focus is on preparation and consideration of laws, legislation, and building codes. The defined action plan sets us up to conduct business on site successfully.
