Second Floor Addition

Challenge

This Leslieville home owner wanted to build a master suite including a bedroom, ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet without adding to the footprint of the home. While gaining more space was the objective, the owner requested that there be no damage to existing finishes on the main floor.

Solution

A second floor addition was built on top of the existing footprint of the home. Special attention to protection ensured that the main floor was not impacted by the build. An important consideration was the design and execution of the new structure, as the style of the addition would need to compliment the storybook style of the home.
