Rear Addition
Challenge
These newlyweds sold two houses and started fresh in this home. The owners wanted to extend their bedroom to include an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. While gaining more space on the second floor was important, the client also wanted a chef-inspired kitchen, sitting area and outdoor space designed for entertaining.
Solution
A rear addition was built to extend the kitchen, sitting area and second floor primary suite. The addition provided the space needed for a master bedroom that would accomodate an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. As part of the project, an open-concept kitchen and sitting room were also built, doubling the space they had before. For entertaining purposes, speakers were built into the ceiling and walls for use both indoors and out.
